People have rites of passage all over the world. However those people may celebrate them in different ways. Depending on the persons attitude or how popular are they may be more involved in rituals than others. For example If the most popular boy in your entire school is dating the most popular girl in your entire school they are going to probably have more school spirit thus having more rites of passage like they have a much better chance of becoming the king and queen of homecoming.
People use rites of passage very differently than any other culture for example in America we have sweet 16's but in Mexico when someone turns 15 they have a Quinceanera or a rite of passage. During this time the celebrate by having food, drinks, and lots of dancing. Even in america people celebrate rites of passage differently for example the Amish. When a family member turns 16 they are allowed to go have a weekend of fun. By this I mean they are allowed to wear modern clothing and drink alcohol. As you can see rites of passage are celebrated differently all over the world, now I ask you what are your rites of passage and how do they differ from the people around you?
